“At the deepest level, the creative process and the healing process arise from a single source. When you are an artist, you are a healer; A wordless trust of the same mystery is the foundation of your work and its integrity.”
– Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen
This is a safe place to process and heal from sexual assault/abuse using art therapy exercises. Healing Art Circles utilize art therapy exercises for healing work in room J-202 of the Jones Building. These Circles are every 11:05 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and are for women only.
In these Circles we will explore topics related to healing from sexual abuse and/or assault. No previous art experience needed and materials are provided.
Sessions are open to survivors of sexual abuse and/or assault and are co-facilitated St. Paul’s Rev. Nataly Negrete and Helen Spaw who holds degrees in psychology and art therapy/creativity.
