Weathering the Storm - Building Resilience Post-Harvey at The Jung Center (Wednesdays) @ The Jung Center | Houston | Texas | United States

As we welcome a new year, our community continues to recover both physically and emotionally from the impact of Hurricane Harvey. The Jung Center, a member of the Houston Healing Collaborative, is pleased to host a FREE 8-week Mind-Body Workshop to those affected by the storm. This Mind-Body Skills Group is made possible through a generous grant from the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund and follows the model of the Center for Mind-Body Medicine to build resilience and reduce the impact of traumatic events.

These two-hour sessions will be both educational and experiential, with practices including meditation, guided imagery, art, and mindful movement, with the healing support of the group. Space is limited to 10 participants who are able to attend the entire 8-week series, on a first-come-first-serve basis. Sessions will be held Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 at The Jung Center, 5200 Montrose, January 17th – March 7th, and will be led by CMBM trained facilitators Sarah Bauer Hernandez (MA, LPC) and Becky Dodds, (RYT200 and Healing Circles Houston Core Team member).

If you are interested in participating in this training, or if you or anyone you know could benefit from support after Harvey, please send us an email (healingcircles at to find out more about this program and others like it being conducted around the city of Houston.
